These clay figures are handmade by local artisans in Costa Rica. The Nativity scene is composed of 8 pieces: Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus, three wise men, a donkey, and a cow. Once molded, the pieces are air-dried for 24 to 48 hours and then baked in a ceramics oven. Each piece has colored glaze accents. The tallest figures measure 3.5 inches tall.
