NATIVITIES FOR SALE — AFRICA — EGYPT LARGE ABSTRACT URAPAN NATIVITY
This Nativity was hand-carved from a hardwood called urapan. The artisan who designed the set is a Coptic Christian in Egypt. He is assisted in his workshop by a team of woodcarvers. The unique abstract designs are created by turning each piece of wood on a lathe. The set includes Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus, a camel with long neck, a donkey, a cow, three wise men, and two angels with long wings. One angel plays a tambourine while the other plays cymbals. The angels measure 7.5 inches tall.
