OUR COLLECTION — LATIN AMERICA — GUATEMALA 109. MAYAN NATIVITY
This Nativity was handmade in Guatemala by Mayan Indians. The twelve figures include Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus, three wise men, a sitting cow and donkey, two standing mules, and two sheep. The wise men bring very practical gifts for Jesus: a bowl of oranges, a bowl of tomatoes with a plantain on top, and a load of chopped wood.
These are rare Mayan Indian designs that came directly from the city of Antigua in Guatemala. The figures stand 4.5 inches tall.
