This Holy Family is made from rolled recycled magazines, which are varnished to protect the paper. Mary holds baby Jesus. Joseph has a black curly beard. The figures are made by four girls in Trujillo, Honduras: Rosa is 17, Desi is 15, Cindi and Gabriela are 10. The girls have remained in school and they are all good students. This project is an effort to teach girls skills that they can use to earn income once school is done for them. Joseph stands 6.75 inches tall.
