This small Nativity is made from hand-carved wood in Benares, India. The wood used is from mango trees from nearby forests. Each figure is hand-carved and hand-painted in a traditional Indian folk-art style. The 18 pieces in this set include the Holy Family, two shepherds, nine colorful animals, three wise men, and an arch backdrop. The backdrop is 3 inches tall and the standing figures are 2 inches tall.
