Kisii stone art is carved by Kenyan tribesmen. The soft soapstone is initially shaped with a panga ax. Then knives and bladed tools are used to define the shape of the piece. Sandpaper is used to achieve the smooth finish. Further polishing and waxing is done to create the shine.
