Sometimes customers ask if we can obtain replacement pieces. We just received a shipment of baby Jesus figures carved from ebony (black) and rosewood (deep brown). Baby Jesus in ebony measures approximately 3.25 inches from head to foot. Baby Jesus in rosewood measures approximately 3.5 inches from head to foot.
These figures were carved by a man named Mugwana in an artisan workshop run by Steven Kyalo in a slum called Gikomba, near the city center of Nairobi, Kenya. Steven also runs an orphanage and school to help 89 orphans in Nairobi. He works very hard to help others.
