OUR COLLECTION — ASIA — LAOS 514. CARVED NATIVITY
This Nativity contains simple figures hand-carved from unfinished wood. The 11 pieces include: Joseph, Mary, Baby Jesus, a shepherd, two pigs, two sheep, and three wise men. To distinguish the Joseph figure from the shepherd, the artisans carved long stripes in the shepherd's clothing to match his sheep. The set is distributed by a fair trade organization called Self Help Crafts of the World. The Joseph figure measures 4 inches tall.
